And here is a little something to go with your tarter sauce!
¾ Cup homemade Mayonnaise
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp bay leaf powder
½ tsp ground celery seed
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp dry mustard
1 Tbsp lemon juice or 1 drop lemon essential oil
1 Tbsp chives
1 lb crab meat
1 cup almond flour
Combine all ingredients except crab and flour.
Gently fold in crab and almond flour (don’t over mix).
Heat skillet with about 2 Tbsp of cooking oil on medium heat.
Scoop a spoonful of mixture (about the size of a golf ball) and drop it into the hot skillet until the skillet is full with crab cakes.
Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until brown.
Remove from skillet and allow to cool for 5 mins.
Serve with homemade tarter sauce.
